I feel like I am going crazy I am one year out have lost 127 pounds and for two or three weeks I have been soooooooooo  depressed, I was exercising everyday sometimes 2 times a day and I quit losing and crash......right into a wall now I can not even get myself to exercise more than once or twice a week.  I do not want to go to work I just feel like hiding. I do not want to tell anyone because I am afraid of there reaction I have been taking my antipressants, however, I still have to take all my meds and insulin.

Has anyone had anything like this happen what is going on? I talked to my dr last week and we did a full blood panel, because I was having trouble with some of my test results being low. I could not bring myself to tell the dr. Just acted like I wanted to be sure all was okay.

Hi!
Yes I have had the same experience/feelings......more than once!
After losing about 130 lbs I hit a wall and it seemed no matter what I did I couldn't get the scale to move.  I increased my exercise, reduced calories, up'd calories and just messed myself up.  I got depressed about it and after about 10 days of having my pity party I decided I needed to just go back to basics, follow my food plan (whi*****luded measuring my food to make sure I knew how many calories and how much protein I was getting daily) and doing cardio daily.  Guess what, I suddenly dropped 4 or 5 lbs.  Then it remained a steady 1 - 2 lbs a weeks until the next plateaus after losing 152 lbs.  Same thing......I was eating right and exercising but the scale would not move.........I got sad about it and then got lazy for about 2 weeks.  Then I finally got back on track and wham dropped about 4 lbs.  I'm at goal now and not trying to lose weight I think these plateaus are normal.........it's our bodies adjusting.  One important thing to do (and I often forget to do this) is to take measurements when the scale is not moving.  It is probably inches falling off and if you are working out with weights like I did I was building muscle and we know muscle weighs more than fat.

So yes, I've been there too and can relate to what you are feeling.  I can tell you if you stay focused and stay on track it will start coming off at the scale again.  Even though I did not have WLS surgery (I lost my weight with healthy eating and exercise) we share similar experiences as to how our body and mind reacts to weight loss.

Hang in there!
Hope that helps some.....
Ruth
